Strida 5.0 "clicking" noise

Blackstridaaustria san,

I’m not sure if this “bead” was there when I got it, or when the bike was new…
If it was just a trace of masking, that would be fine, but it seems like it has been dug down one level and lowered.

I think so too (I moved the pin down the other day).

This is a well-known chronic issue with STRiDA, so it’s surprising and disappointing that no official solution has been put in place yet.

Thank you for your PM ! :person_bowing:

I was fed up with my bike falling over due to its instability when parked, so I bought a double-leg center stand and removed the original stand to consider installing one.
…It seems like there was barely any torque on the bolts, and there’s a huge amount of powder…It looks like paint chipping off, but it looks like there’s a white primer underneath the camouflage pattern.

As a side effect, once I reinstalled the stand with the specified torque, the mysterious creaking noise I was making while pedaling disappeared… I guess it wasn’t the rear hinge bolt that was the culprit, but the BB… Maybe I should tighten the retaining ring as well…
I tried to loosen the rear hinge bolt to replace it with a replacement part, but perhaps because of the threadlocking agent, it wouldn’t budge with a regular 13mm combination wrench.

I’ll install those later.:upside_down_face:
