pedals won't turn crank

Hello
The pedals on my Strida move freely but won’t turn the belt crank. When pushed the belt and crank more, but not with the pedals. It’s as if the pedals are no longer attached to the crank. Any suggestions? Thanks
Richard

It could be your freewheel is gummed up … ie the ratchet pawls are not engaging … this could be due to grease congealing…and overpowering the pawl springs. Before you swop out the freewheel, which is a fiddly job , I’d spray some thin oil eg WD40 into the freewheel to try and get the pawls free and clicking normally.

Strida UK replaced my freewheel under guarantee for exactly the problem you describe, so if your bike is still under warranty, just contact Strida.
