Well done. That’s a very neat job. It must have been tricky getting the wire down there inside the tube. Still, once done it’s done for good - pretty well.
I have a wired computer on my Merc. I had to replace part of the wire when the folding handlepost knacked the inner wire so that it had intermittent contact inside the insulator. I just cut and spliced new wire onto the middle section - a bit like you did here on your blog, linked to above.
