It looks like the Strida 5.2 is not yet for sale in North America.
Can anyone in Europe or Asia advise if the new vertical snubber for the belt is any better than the horizontal snubber on the Strida 5.0?

I really don’t see much difference between them. The lower snubber position will not make the belt grip much better … keeping the gap between the snubber wheel asa small as possible (without touching) is THE best way to prevent belt skip. See Tips from the designer Page.7

The lower mounted Snubber prevents backward compatibity with Strida3 series (drum brakes). I guess Ming are quietly discontinuing these.
