Strida 1, Strida 2, Strida 3, Strida 5 and Strida LT

Gear inches: 16" × 100 ÷ 30 = 53.3"

Metres of development: 1.185m × 100 ÷ 30 = 3.95m
This means that the bike travels about 3.95 metres per crank rotation.

Gain ratio: 1185mm ÷ π ÷ 2 ÷ 170mm × 100 ÷ 30 = 3.70

Strida Mini

Gear inches: 14" x 88 ÷ 30 = 41"

Metres of development: 1.02m × 88 ÷ 30 = 2.99m
This means that the bike travels about 2.99 metres per crank rotation.

Gain ratio: 1020mm ÷ π ÷ 2 ÷ 150mm × 88 ÷ 30 = 3.17
This reflects the reason why Strida mini has lower value on both gear inches and metres of development than Strida SD in low gear but you still feel pedalling harder on a Strida mini than on a Strida SD in low gear when going up an incline. It is because the crank arms used on Strida Mini (150mm) is shorter than those used on Strida SD and other models of Strida (170mm).

Strida SX

Gear inches: 18" × 100 ÷ 30 = 60"

Metres of development

with Innova tyres: 1.325m × 100 ÷ 30 = 4.42m
This means that the bike travels about 4.42 metres per crank rotation.

with Schwalbe Kojak tyres: 1.315m × 100 ÷ 30 = 4.38m
This means that the bike travels about 4.38 metres per crank rotation.

Gain ratio

with Innova tyres: 1325mm ÷ π ÷ 2 ÷ 170mm × 100 ÷ 30 = 4.13

with Schwalbe Kojak tyres: 1315mm ÷ π ÷ 2 ÷ 170mm × 100 ÷ 30 = 4.10

Strida SD and the MAS Special Edition

Gear inches

in low gear: 16" x 80 ÷ 30 = 42.7"

in high gear: 16" x 80 x 1.65 ÷ 30 = 70.4"

Metres of development

in low gear: 1.185m × 80 ÷ 30 = 3.16m
This means that the bike travels about 3.16 metres per crank rotation in low gear.

in high gear: 1.185m × 80 × 1.65 ÷ 30 = 5.21m
This means that the bike travels about 5.21 metres per crank rotation in high gear.

Gain ratio

in low gear: 1185mm ÷ π ÷ 2 ÷ 170mm × 80 ÷ 30 = 2.96

in high gear: 1185mm ÷ π ÷ 2 ÷ 170mm × 80 x 1.65 ÷ 30 = 4.88

Strida equipped with speed-drive and 18" wheels
(with Schwalbe Kojak tyres)

Gear inches:

in low gear: 18" x 80 ÷ 30 = 48"

in high gear: 18" x 80 x 1.65 ÷ 30 = 79.2"

Metres of development

in low gear: 1.315m × 80 ÷ 30 = 3.51m
This means that the bike travels about 3.51 metres per crank rotation in low gear.

in high gear: 1.315m × 80 × 1.65 ÷ 30 = 5.79m
This means that the bike travels about 5.79 metres per crank rotation in high gear.

Gain ratio

in low gear: 1315mm ÷ π ÷ 2 ÷ 170mm × 80 ÷ 30 = 3.28

in high gear: 1315mm ÷ π ÷ 2 ÷ 170mm × 80 x 1.65 ÷ 30 = 5.42
